Client Centricity; The Road to Greater Financial Inclusion

Dear participants,

Given the emergency situation of the outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) and the declaration of the Novel Coronavirus as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) by the Director-General of the World Health Organization, the Board of Sanabel after consultation with various stakeholders has taken the decision to postpone Sanabel 2020 annual Conference which was planned to take place in Hurgada, Egypt on 10th& 11th of March 2020.

It was such a hard decision after all the preparations and reservations were made, but as the safety of all participants is our first priority, and going back home safely, with no obstacles or prospected cancellations by the aviation companies, the decision was made to postpone.

Participants are invited to cancel their flight reservations, and hotel rooms reservations, and we will be negotiating some refunds with the hotel for the rooms. More about logistics and refunds to you will be communicated very soon to you.

We look forward to your participation, once the revised dates of the Conference are rescheduled .

Sanabel, The Microfinance Network of Arab Countries is pleased to announce its 15th annual conference, which will be held on March 10 - 11, 2020 at the Steigenberger Aldau Beach Hotel in Hurghada, Egypt under the theme, “Client Centricity; The Road to Greater Financial Inclusion”

Over the years, the microfinance industry in the Arab region has experienced significant developments aiming to contribute to poverty alleviation, achieve broad-based economic development and improve access to finance which ultimately advance financial inclusion and help in achieving several goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The continuation of success of these developments highly dependent on understanding the needs, preferences, and behavior of existing and potential microfinance clients in order to design relevant financial and non-financial services and products as well as reach and serve them effectively. Therefore, the microfinance industry is transforming into a “customer-centric” focus which has proved its significance across industries.

Embedding “client centricity” adds value to all microfinance stakeholders; it leads to exceptional client experience that generates a comparative edge to financial service providers (FSPs), in addition to its contribution in achieving social objectives and global goals. It is not an easy endeavor as it necessitates innovative management system, empowerment of human resources, as well as performance management system and partnerships. Therefore, Sanabel’s 15th annual conference will shed light on the momentous consequences of “client-centricity” in the microfinance industry and the adequate adoption of this policy in order to maximize its value in the digital era by showcasing the experience of global FSPs in transforming into customer-centric institutions.

Sanabel’s 15th Annual Conference will bring together Sanabel Network members and practitioners with regional and global investors, funders, regulators and new players to discuss the latest trends, innovations, and opportunities in the microfinance industry. In addition to explore “client-centricity” from all aspects. Indeed, the conference as usual, will provide a platform where experiences and knowledge are shared among peers plus networking opportunities.

We look forward to welcoming you all at Sanabel's 15th Annual Conference in Hurghada, Egypt and will be sharing on this platform conference updates as they become available over the coming weeks and months.
